A large insurance company in Manhattan is seeking a Director of Payroll . This person will be responsible for management and direction of the Corporate payroll (management and union) including oversight of payroll processing, analysis and reporting. Ensures accurate and timely payment to employees and comply to statutory calculation and remittance of payroll taxes. Act as a liason with the payroll vendors and as a partner to internal departments including accounting, Operations, Human Resources, and Legal. Responsible for the development, documentation, and communication of new policies as well as ensuring current corporate policies are properly administered. |
| Requirements: |
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business administration. 7-10 years payroll experience with emphasis on ADP, PeopleSoft applications and General Ledger experience. Prior management experience. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Access. |
